A NEW NAME! Tarrant County Courage to Teach is now Courage & Renewal - North Texas

Courage & Renewal - North Texas

“Is this person the same on the inside as he or she appears to be on the outside? Children ask this about their parents, students about their teachers, employees about their supervisors, patients about their physicians, and citizens about their political leaders. When the answer is yes, we relax, believing that we are in the presence of integrity and feeling secure enough to invest ourselves in the relationship and all that surrounds it.”
— Parker J. Palmer

Have you ever noticed how fragile the connection is between your inner and outer lives?

Paperwork, procedures, pressure, and a constant parade of challenges slowly separate who you are from what you do. Then suddenly — after years in the classroom, pulpit or boardroom — you realize that your motivation and your ability to walk your talk have been compromised.

At one time or another, each of us has needed to rediscover who we are in connection with the work we do in the world. That’s the purpose of Courage & Renewal—North Texas. During the past decade, more than 3,000 North Texans have used our one-day and extended retreats to rekindle their passion for work and commitment to serve. Our offerings enable participants to live and work with greater integrity — and to lead fuller and richer personal and professional lives.

Opportunities for renewal often rekindle the courage to remain strongly engaged in work. Click on the appropriate link in the left column to find helpful information about our program and a schedule of upcoming retreats and events. You’ll find sessions on life issues such as adapting to change/transition and specialized retreats dealing with the challenges you face in your profession and/or your role as a leader in a complex world.

It’s the first step in reconnecting who you are with what you do.

Got questions? Ready to register for an upcoming retreat? Contact us at couragent@txwes.edu, or call 817-531-4962.
