About Us

Courage & Renewal – North Texas gives heart to those who serve our children and strengthen community life.

We began our first retreat in the spring of 1999, inviting educators and other leaders to experience the principles and practices that ground the renewal work of the Courage movement. Since that beginning, we have provided combinations of half-day, one-day, and weekend retreats to teachers, principals and other leaders in community life.

Our vision for Courage & Renewal – North Texas is to be the trusted, premier resource for renewal, empowering individuals to live with greater personal wholeness, professional integrity and vocational vitality.

Our mission is to provide personal and professional renewal experiences that help individuals reconnect who they are with what they do. To this end we provide renewal experiences through:

• Retreats and Retreat Series;
• Custom crafted experiences for intact work groups through “Courage in the Workplace”, and
• Collaboration with other organizations who want to provide renewal opportunities for target constituencies.

Courage & Renewal – North Texas is possible because of a unique and effective partnership between a committed volunteer board of directors, a small professional staff, and a diverse group of outstanding facilitators. Additionally, a growing community   of alumni and generous supporters have extended our scope and impact by sharing the opportunities found in Courage & Renewal – North Texas with their circles of influence.
