Who goes first? It takes such courage to risk, to step out, not knowing who, if anyone will follow. Now more than ever we need people of courage to be real. It is the person who seems to be the same on the inside as on the outside that I am willing to follow, or to walk alongside. They are trustworthy.

So today, after a day of "rest" on Labor Day, I am going to try to "take off my mask". Given it is an inside job, I am going to try to be "real" first with my self - not play games, but look at myself honestly. And then, I am going to notice when I am letting others see "me" and when I am wearing a mask. When it seems safer to be behind the mask, I am going to try to risk laying it down.

Sounds like hard work. Bet I sleep well tonight!
